Farah Ahmed is Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. She co-convenes the Intercultural and Conflict-transformation Dialogue’ strand of the Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research group. Her current project is: Rethinking Islamic education for British Muslim children: a philosophical investigation of dialogue in Islamic educational theory and an empirical study trialling dialogic pedagogy in UK madrasahs (supplementary schools). Farah has published widely on Islamic education and has worked for nineteen years on research driven curriculum development and teacher education for Muslim teachers.

Foziya Reddy

Safegaurding Trustee

 

Foziya Reddy is a founding trustee of Islamic Shakhsiyah Foundation and former head teacher of Shakhsiyah School London with over twenty-five years’ experience in education. She has a BA honours and PGCE in Primary Education. She is currently working towards the NPQH (National Professional Qualification in Headship). Foziya’s passion for Islamic and ‘alternative’ education stems from her deep commitment to the Islamic concept of motherhood.

Nadia Ameen

Founding Trustee

 

Nadia Ameen is a founding trustee of Islamic Shakhsiyah Foundation, Deputy Head Teacher and Head of Arabic at Shakhsiyah Schools. She has led the development of the unique Shakhsiyah Arabic Curriculum and trains and leads our team of Arabic teachers. Nadia has a BA in Linguistics and over twenty years of experience in education.

Saima Hussain

Fundraising and Marketing Trustee

 

Saima Hussain has been an active partner in a digital marketing agency since 2013. The agency primarily operates in the not-for-profit sector, facilitating different charities to raise funds through various digital platforms including Google Adwords and social media. Also, personally she has several years’ experience working with charity organisations both in voluntary and paid capacity. Leading and advising on fund raising strategies, organising large scale events, implementing changes to improve processes throughout the organisation introducing financial and strategic efficiencies as a result.
