Balagha (Qur’anic eloquence)

The principle of Qur’anic Arabic as the language of Islam and the revival of Muslim heritage.

We in Islamic Shakhsiyah Foundation firmly believe that the decline of thought in the Muslim ummah is directly linked to the decline in understanding of Qur’anic Arabic. The Islamic way of life and culture requires Qur’anic Arabic to flourish. Thus we believe teaching Qur’anic Arabic is prerequisite in developing individual Muslims and building a vibrant Muslim community.

We aim to cultivate a deep love of Qur’an in our children and sow the seeds of a lifelong personal engagement with the book of Allah. Teaching of Qur’an and Qur’anic Arabic begins with early education and continues throughout the school with a bilingual approach. Core Qur’anic vocabulary is taught in Halaqah to give a thorough understanding of fundamental Islamic concepts. Children’s understanding of Qur’anic Arabic is the responsibility of all staff as part of their shakhsiyah development.
