About Us

Islamic Shakhsiyah Foundation is a registered charitable trust established in 2005. The trust was established by a network of home-schooling Muslim mothers whose efforts to teach their own children grew into a sustained quest to devise a contemporary Islamic education approach based securely on classical Islamic pedagogy.

By 2005 this work had grown organically into two independent primary schools and it was decided to establish a charitable trust to manage the running of the schools and the development of other projects including community projects, teacher education courses and educational research.

In 2014, the foundation changed its charity structure from charitable trust to a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). The charity trustees felt that this new legal form was more appropriate for our charity due to its increasing size. With the change in status, we have a new charity number, 1155314. Please note that the old charity number, 1112376 is no longer in use.
